cutsleeve is a five-piece female queer East Asian rock band in Toronto. We were brought together to explore the complexities of our own queer racialized identities and repurpose rock music for our own healing and expression.
Receiving support from Vivek’s Music Grant was imperative for us to be able to bring our first release to life. As the music industry landscape continues to change, opportunities like the VS Music Grant are truly rare and highlight Vivek’s generosity and commitment to the creative arts scene in so called Canada.
