Launched by artist Vivek Shraya, the VS. Arts Grant aims to offer financial support to marginalized artists in various fields, including the 2019 inaugural grant to fund an independent musician’s debut EP (awarded to cutsleeve, a five-piece female queer East Asian rock band in Toronto), and the 2022 artistic exploration fund for women/femmes of color age 35 or over.
